HOW TO REACH COTTBUS

Airports near Cottbus are Berlin/Schönefeld (SXF), Berlin/Tegel (TXL), Berlin/Tempelhof (THF), Dresden (DRS), and Halle-Leipzig (LEJ).

SXF
(1) Take the shuttle (or walk) to the train station (``Bahnhof'') BERLIN/SCHÖNEFELD.
(2) Take a train to KÖNIGS WUSTERHAUSEN.
(3) At KÖNIGS WUSTERHAUSEN, take a train to COTTBUS.
TXL
(1) Take the shuttle (line 109 or X9) to ZOOLOGISCHER GARTEN.
(2) Take a city train S5 (direction STRAUSBERG), S7 (AHRENSFELDE), or S75 (WARTENBERG) to LICHTENBERG.
(3) At LICHTENBERG, take a train to COTTBUS.
THF
(1) Take the city train S46 to KÖNIGS WUSTERHAUSEN.
(2) At KÖNIGS WUSTERHAUSEN, take a train to COTTBUS.
DRS
(1) Take the airport shuttle to DRESDEN-NEUSTADT.
(2) At DRESDEN-NEUSTADT, take a train to RUHLAND.
(3) Leave the train at RUHLAND and take the train to COTTBUS.
LEJ
(1) Take the airport shuttle to LEIPZIG-HBF.
(2) At LEIPZIG-HBF, take a train to COTTBUS

... by CAR

If you come from DRESDEN and want to take the country road B169 to COTTBUS, please notice that only the exit Großräschen is usable because of construction work.

(1) From BERLIN or DRESDEN, take motorway A13 to DREIECK SPREEWALD.
(2) Proceed on motorway A15 to COTTBUS.
(3) Take the exit COTTBUS WEST.
(4) Follow the signs to 'Holiday Inn'.
(4a) Go north, direction 'Zentrum' (city centre).
(5) Follow the street 'Bahnhofstrasse' until you pass the bridge crossing the railways. The name of the street changes to 'Karl-Marx-Strasse' but you still have to drive into the same direction. After 500m appears on the right hand side a new large shopping centre "Lausitzer Hof", including the hotel 'Holiday Inn'. Use the parking space in the garage.

Leipzig(Hbf) - Cottbus
Berlin-Lichtenberg - Königs Wusterhausen - Cottbus
Dresden(Neustadt) - Ruhland - Cottbus
